Technology and Business

Technology changes how businesses run long before it shows up in the news. Here I write about how AI and software change day-to-day work, the economics behind it (costs, jobs and productivity), and the wider effects on society. Figures in these posts come with their sources, and my opinions are labeled as opinions.

Business systems are a good way to see this up close. An ERP (enterprise resource planning system) brings HR, sales, projects and accounting into one place, and a CRM (customer relationship management system) tracks leads and conversations. I led and co-developed, with the in-house team, the VITE SEO Digital Advertising ERP, which put an HRIS, a CRM, project management and accounting behind one login, with payroll that computes SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, withholding tax and 13th-month pay. We built 115 pages, 144 data models and 5,241 automated tests in under 3 months. I also built the NFC card platform and a client quotation portal for the same agency, which has since closed.

This hub also carries notes from seminars and business events I have attended, such as the Philippine SME Business Expo in November 2025 and May 2026, where technology adoption by small businesses came up again and again.
