The Founder's Journey
Starting a business teaches things a classroom cannot, and closing one teaches even more. Here I write about my journey as an entrepreneur and technical founder, for anyone thinking about starting something or in the middle of it.
I founded VITE SEO Digital Advertising at 21, while still an undergraduate, after two years of freelance work for the same international marketing clients. It grew to a team of up to 22 across sales, development, project management, marketing and SEO. As founder and CEO, I directed in-house product development, including the ERP, the NFC card platform, the client quotation portal and the WordPress SEO Plugin Suite. I also built the sales process, and wrote the SOPs, job descriptions and employment contracts the team worked from, while handling HR compliance under Philippine labor law. The agency has since closed.
Posts here cover what it is like to start a company in college, the difference between being a technical founder and a business founder, leading a team, and what closing a business changes. I also share notes from leadership and business events, such as Level-Up Leadership with Francis Kong and the Breakfast Club by the Philippine Business Network.
In 2026 I also graduated cum laude with a BS in Information Systems from the Technological University of the Philippines.
