Marketing

Marketing is how people find out that something exists and decide whether it is for them. Here I write about marketing basics in plain English, for anyone who builds things and needs other people to hear about them.

The two big approaches I cover are organic content (posts, articles, videos and search traffic you do not pay for per click) and paid ads (such as Meta Ads on Facebook and Instagram, where you pay for reach). Each has its own costs, timelines and best practices, and they often work best together.

My experience here comes from VITE SEO Digital Advertising, the agency I founded and have since closed. I built its sales process: a four-tier service package line, a consultation playbook, a client fit-check form, and client proposals and quotations. I launched Meta ad campaigns on a budget of about US$8 a day that generated 33 inbound lead conversations in the first 5 days, at about US$1 each, and built an AI chatbot for Messenger and Instagram that answers inquiries, books consultations and logs leads. Before that, I ran marketing tasks part-time for a service that connects car owners with repair shops.

I also attended The Premier Branding and Marketing Conference of 2026 by Speakerscon in February 2026. Posts here share what worked, what I would check first, and where the numbers came from.
